Everything it means
to be human, modeled.
Mirror Particle is a lab understanding human behavior by simulating it with machines. As language models learned the structure of text, we build foundational models of how people perceive, feel, decide, and act.
We study what makes us tick and what leaves us cold: what sparks a visceral reaction, what turns intention into action, when logic leads and when emotion takes over, when we join the crowd and when we go it alone, and how people read one another, form groups, and share a world.
Held up to behavior, the model becomes a mirror, every reaction refracting down to the smallest particle of what moves us.
Once modeled, predicting a response, to a product, an ad, a policy, an election, or a story, is just one use. The model of the human is the work.
We are machine learning researchers, engineers, neuroscientists, and behavioral scientists, building it from both sides at once: how minds work, and how to learn them at scale.
